Hi everyone. Great meeting last night. Thank you Tara!
Um, we actually didn't talk about the book much... Some folks finished it, others were in the middle. I think most of tended to like it, but it wasn't a "page turner" and some lost interest about half way through. Even Michelle said it took her a long time to read! We all agreed it was interesting and his writing witty, just not great. His discoveries on where and why happiness exists were pretty spot on. Envy of other people, lack of family and friends, poor surroundings, all these things can lead to unhappiness. While lives filled with trust and free choice and at least the basic comforts provided a great deal of happiness. Personally, I will never go to Moldova but would welcome any future Busy Bees field trips to Iceland or Bhutan!
Our next selection (drum roll please) ...
is Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James. At least book one ladies. If you so desire you can read the other two but we will only require the first for entrance to next month's meeting. Erin has graciously offered to host and predicts that this may be the most attended meeting on record.
Happy reading!

WELL! That's certainly going to be a change of pace! I actually have already read (the trilogy, though I am not proud to admit it) and have a paper copy if anyone wants to borrow it.
It should be an interesting discussion... !
I may have a few glasses of wine BEFORE the meeting...
