Bye Pi and Hello Bliss

Sorry for dropping the ball on this one.  I hope eveyone is up to speed and aware that our next selection will be "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner.  Ventress doesn't have it, but I believe Duxbury and Hingham do.  Plus Kris tells me it's online for pretty cheap.  Tara will get back to us on the when part soon.

I just watched the new 10 second (yes, it's fast) preview of the Ang Lee movie version of "Life of Pi."  I am sorry, but I really did love that book.  Can't get around that fact even though at the meeting there were a few who didn't finish it, and one who didn't like it!

I thought it was interesting and insightful.  I bought into his whole experience on the raft and what it meant to him spiritually as well as physically.  I like the ambiquity of the novel.  The questions that aren't answered.  I loved Robert Parker and hope he lived a long happy life in the jungles of South America.

Anyway, here's the link to that clip

Happy reading!
