Sometimes I think taking a job in a library was crazy of me. I feel like I am a reading maniac and yet I can never keep up! Just finished "Widow's War" and loved it. But we can discuss that soon enough...
I am on to "The Lost City of Z" which I had never heard of until last week, but it then some how rocketed to the top of my list. This is what happens! It's about Percy Harrison Fawcett's lost quest into the Amazon. Again, knew nothing about this until last week. I am now very excited to learn! (And ok, this may be a direct cause of reading "The Passage" which starts in a remote jungle, ends in a world-wide vampire virus, and which I can't seem to shake, but again, this is what happens! It's why I love reading.)
Before I forget (or get lost in a haze of other worthy titles) these are a few books I heard good things about:
The Weird Sisters
The Cookbook Collector
Great House
The Imperfectionists
Looking forward to our next meeting. Happy reading!
