Hello everyone. Just a reminder that book club is next week. I know there is at least one person out there who hasn't started yet... I finished it over my "vacation". Yes, you heard that right. Vacation. The beach was hot, the beer was cold and the book was fantastic! Julie was spot on - it took me about 80 or so pages to really start to get into it, but then I was hooked. Just some classic page-turner stuff with plenty of intellectualism causing me to pause every once in awhile and stare up at the cloudless blue sky until I go it. And of course there is romance, sex and murder! Look forward to meeting with everyone. Happy reading!
Oh, by the way, I read Geraldine Brooks other book "March" and loved that too. Quick read. Very moving with Geraldine's typical beautifully descriptive prose. Especially of the people. I have a copy if anyone is interested.
