I substituted today for 3 periods of Reading and yes, I sat and "silent read" along with the kids. I'm like 3/4 done with the book and I just started this morning! By far my best substituting day yet! And I'll say I am really enjoying it (the book that is). I hope everyone else is too.

On a sadder front, it doesn't appear we have too many takers for the Book Festival. Family events, sports and other things are holding us back. Plus, the forecast doesn't bode well for an afternoon in Boston. I'll be there in spirit as I read my book by the fire. We'll see how they do this year and plan a field trip for 2010. That is, if the club rules allow field trips...
