Sorry for the delay. This whole picking books in advance thing is really just a big excuse for me to slack off.
We had a good meeting at Tara's house (thank you). Just a few of us, and I think only Tara actually finished the book, but others were reading it (myself included).
I don't know... at the meeting I was feeling pretty generous towards old Bill O'Reilly and thought I'd like the book but ... once I finished it, I changed my mind. I would rather read a historical tome written by an actual historian. Anyone think differently, please POST.
Next up is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I think on May 8th (Erin can you confirm this?). Personally, I think this is a good one, but I will save further comments until the meeting.
MOST IMPORTANT - no one else has signed up after May's meeting! I think we were going to try and keep this going, even through the summer, so anyone willing to host, let me know. I would be happy to host in July or August (pool party) but don't want to take the opportunity away from someone who hasn't had a chance yet ;-) And I think the rules allow summer field trips so if anyone has a literary idea in mind, let us know! Maybe one of the newbies wants to break the ice by hosting? nudge nudge wink wink say no more
Happy Reading!
