Parrot and who?

Ok, Ok, I've heard from some of you.
"Got to page 5..."
"Started it, but then lost my copy..."
etc.

I swear, it really is a great book! But I suppose we'll talk about that at the upcoming meeting.

In the meantime, I've finally read "Water for Elephants" and wow, I loved it. So damn fascinating. Loved the author's balance of romance and sex, violence and compassion, fact and fiction. Right now I am about half way through a YA title (can't seem to get enough of them). It's called "Ship Breaker" and it is off to a fantastic start. Should have it done by the next meeting so I'll give y'all my review.

Lots of activity at the library. "Cleopatra" by Stacy Schriff is a big one. It's good, but personally, I'd rather read Margaret George's historical fiction version. Also hearing good things about "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand", the Andre Agassi autobiography (no lie!) and of course the award winning Patti Smith memoir, "Just Kids".

Looking forward to discussing all these and more at our next meeting!
