The Forgotten Garden
Just finished the Forgotten Garden and really liked! Didn't expect it, but it was a bit of a 'bad mother book' to use one of Jenny's phrases. I had trouble putting it down. Happy reading to those of you still going, and for those of you who haven't started and need a loan, let me know.

I just finished it too! And yes, a "bad mother book". The kids said "can we watch TV?" and I said "yes!" then curled up reading AGAIN. Very hard to put down. I'm moving on to "Cutting for Stone" which I've heard great things about.
oh, and hey, for any of you who particularly liked the 1900s seedy London bits, I'll recommend "Mr. Timothy" again. Murder, mystery, and lots of foggy alleyways.
