Cheers for Tenderbar

Well, we had quite a racy gathering this week.  Topics flowed from the book at hand, Tenderbar, to race issues, school building plans, heredity, education and yes, even politics.  I think we broached every taboo subject their is, except s-e-x.  Maybe next meeting!

It was loads of fun though.  A big thank you to Michelle for hosting it in her lovely home and for those delicious brownies.  Hopefully she'll post the recipe for us on the blog... (hint hint)  It seemed that we all enjoyed the book and didn't have many, if any, criticisms to say about it. For those of you who haven't quite finished it or didn't quite start it yet... it is well worth the read.

I believe our next meeting is scheduled for December 3rd, but I'll wait for Christy to confirm that.  There was talk about making this one a bit more "social" in honor of the holidays.  Baked goodies will be welcomed.  The book is Gray Matter by Gary Braver.  Get your copy now!  Only 34 days until the next meeting!

And let's see some posts on the blog ladies!  Something you wanted to say at the meeting you didn't get a chance to?  Just finished the book and want to get your two cents in?  Got an idea for food stuff at the next meeting?  Found multiple copies of the next book for sale somewhere?  Let us know!

Happy reading,
Kristine
